Full description
Begin with a visit to the colourful Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh, the holy see of the Cao Dai religion. Time your visit for the midday ceremony and watch the worshippers in their vibrant robes, then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to the Cu Chi Tunnels to explore the underground network that played such a crucial role in the Vietnam War, walking through sections of the tunnels and seeing the traps, kitchens and command posts. On the way back, ride the cable car up Black Virgin Mountain (Ba Den) for sweeping views over the plains of Tay Ninh, and visit the pagoda complex on the summit before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.
