Best time of year to visit Saigon
Dry season, wet season and the shoulder months — how each changes what you can do in the city and beyond.

Saigon is warm all year, so the real question is rain rather than temperature. December to April is the dry season: sunny mornings, low humidity and the most reliable conditions for day trips to the mangrove forest or the Cu Chi Tunnels.
May to November is the wet season, but it rarely rains all day. Downpours usually arrive in the late afternoon and pass within an hour, which leaves mornings free for sightseeing.
If you are flexible, aim for the shoulder months of November and April. You get dry-season light with fewer crowds, and hotel prices tend to be softer than in the peak of December.
